If we go to china or the country that use the chinese/mandarin as a main language. Maybe the sign and directions on the road not available in English. So we need to know the meaning of it. Ok, I will tell some of it:

到达 ‘dao(4) da(2)’ means ‘arrival’
休业 ‘xiu(1) ye(4)’ means ‘closed’
公共气车站 ‘gong(1) gong(4) qi(4) che(1) zhan(4)’ this is ‘bus stop’
海关 ‘hai(3) guan(1)’ this means ‘customs’
外币对换所 ‘wai(4) bi(4) dui(4) huan(4) suo(3)’ this is ‘currency exchange office or money changer’
危险 ‘wei(1) xian(3)’ means ‘danger’
出发 ‘chu(1) fa(1)’ means ‘departure’
下 ‘xia(4)’ means ‘down’
入口 ‘ru(4) kou(3)’ this means ‘entrance’
出口 ‘chu(1) kou(3) opposite with entrance, this is ‘exit’
出租 ‘chu(1) zu(1)’ means ‘for rent’
前面 ‘qian(2) mian(4)’ means ‘front’
去 ‘qu(4)’ means ‘go’
入 ‘ru(4)’ means ‘in’
保持左 ‘bao(3) zhi(2) zuo(3)’ it means ‘keep left’
保持右 ‘bao(3) zhi(2) you(4)’ the opposite this is ‘keep right’
左 ‘zuo(3)’ means ‘left’
男厕 ‘nan(2) ce(4)’ this is the ‘bathroom(for men)’
有人在工作 ‘you(3) ren(2) zai(4) gong(1) zuo(4)’ means ‘men at work’
禁止入场 ‘jin(4) zhi(3) ru(4) chang(3)’ means ‘no admittance’
禁止摄影 ‘jin(4) zhi(3) she(4) ying(3)’ means ‘no cameras allowed’
禁止进入 ‘jin(4) zhi(3) jin(4) ru(4)’ this means ‘no entry’
